Ditty Bags for Misc Items Organization
There are a ton of small mom and pop internet store on etsy. I scored some great dyneema ditty bags for pretty cheap on there and I could pick the color. Sometimes if a store is trying to gain traction or sales are slow they'll have a good coupon.- TexAg09

Just as the title says I can't get my 1.5 yr old lab to stop digging. She'll go a few days (sometimes even a week or two) without digging, but then if I leave her in the yard for an hour unsupervised she starts at it again. Sometimes even after a walk or training session when I know it's not...- TexAg09

Is it irresponsible to NOT buy it?
I thought the same thing, but unfortunately I don't see it getting much cheaper. I actually found it about $100-150 cheaper at my local gun shop vs anywhere online. -

Well, it goes bang, and is a ton of fun to shoot! Ended up getting 3 hogs that afternoon. Thanks to all who helped me make bad...errr...good choices haha! -
Texas public land?
I second this. I dabble in public land hunting in TX, but my main efforts are currently focused on out of state hunts. It's sad to say, but I can have a better hunt for less money. -

Public is doable, but pretty rough. You'll have better access to public land in the DFW area than in some other areas of the state. Don't forget to check for Army Corps of Engineer opportunities as well. Some of those are not listed on the TPWD website. The draw hunts can be great when you draw... -

Jungle Blanket or Down Blanket for Warm Scouting Trips
I bought it and love that thing! I got the XL version, and use it all the time on any trip above 40-45F. It's pretty much my go to on scouting trips in the summer.- TexAg09

Yeah, it's new in the box at a local gun shop. Definitely not a pawn shop. As for Rugers all of mine have been tack drivers. -
Do you get tired?
I have for waterfowl, but that's a grind towards the end of the season. After hitting ducks hard in my 20's I have definitely slacked off in my 30's. I did pivot towards western hunting and archery which I've still got the fire for. When it comes to ducks, as a few old timers used to say around...- TexAg09

Welcome from Central Texas! What part of Texas are you in? The youth hunting program mentioned above is fantastic. I'm not sure about waterfowl hunting through the program, but I have volunteered on whitetail hunts and they're great! I would encourage you to to look into some of the drawn hunts...
