JLS,
Thanks for the update and the willingness to share life's challenges. Your family is in my prayers. May God provide you and your daughters with a strong support group from both your Church and Medical Communities.
Since you guys continue to dodge the questions and intentionally ignore the main crux of the topic at hand (i.e. PUBLIC resource, ALL citizens), it is pointless to continue. I know my facts. Just because Oscar and Yogi choose to ignore them doesn’t make what everyone else here is saying untrue...
This has been a great thread so far, and the success John experienced is just icing on the cake. Can't wait to hear Big John Cushman's version of all the events that took place in what sounds like an amazing weekend with his father and HT crew.
Mental Note #2. Also grab @TheNorthStar 's hammock while stealing his Larabars out of his pack....check.
On a more serious note, is the ENO single nest long enough for someone six feet or so in height? Phill, @2rocky or anyone else who has used the single nest.
I won't be sleeping overnight in it this year. This is for after I fill my tag at first light, and I have the afternoon to relax while @TheNorthStar packs my buck out for me. ;)
My buddy in college had a ranch dog (border collie) named Hay. His Dad never got around to naming his new pup, but would say, "Hey, get over here." "Hey, don't chew on that" ect. Soon he realized that the dog was answering to hey, and since it was a ranch dog, they changed the spelling to Hay...
Sorry to have missed you and Finn when you were down in my neck of the woods last weekend. Hoping that we might be able to put together a hunt this chukar season. I am sure Rudy would be up for it.
Reloading? If not, any 130-150 grain load will work. Find one that shoots well in your rifle and have at it. If you can find some Nosler Partitions, a bonded bullet or some all copper bullets all the better.
Hang in there Neffa. Some tough days ahead for sure. Give your wife and kids some extra hugs as this is one of those tough life experiences that can be extra tough to work through. So sorry for your loss.
Getting rid of the fish farms out front of the Fraser would be a good start to fixing that fishery. Those things are a disease ridden death trap to all the young salmon coming out of the Fraser.
