    A bear at last

That bear hunting is so fun. Some members of my family have a long tradition hound hunting. Congrats on some great hunts.

    Wyoming 15 Elk PP's

We rifle hunted the first week. Bow season is most likely much less pressure I'd assume.

Potential world record-breaking bear taken by bow and arrow in Chocowinity NC 780#

Same here in the VA mountains and the dismal swamp.

    Wyoming 15 Elk PP's

100-2 would fit your hunt needs. But those elk do get chased around hard it's not as easy hunt as many portray. We hunted there a few years ago on the type 1 tag. It was more challenging than we anticipated I guess. If your mobility is really limited it may not be as easy as you think.

    Montana bison hunt

Hopefully you get some good weather to push them out. Is Deckard flats part of the unit? Seen animals in there during general seasons.

    Charlottesville, VA?

This expect lots of dogs in the woods either way. Bear hunting if you're not familiar will with it here will draw hunt groups of 5-15 guys running large areas trying to strike a bear from now until the end of the season. They favor the large public land areas.

Sound Off - 100% Debt Free

Been debt free on our first home since 2017. Needed to move up the road an hour or so to assist an aging MIL until her passing. We purchased a second home at a good price before home prices went crazy. Rented our first home out to some friends and stayed in the second home until this spring...

    WY Price Hike Implications

Same in my circle of friends. But that's what is needed and what is wanted as well. These tag games are like heroin to hunters it seems these days. Many going in debt like stated above. Crazy!

    WY Price Hike Implications

Agree with this a buddy and his dad burnt 2 points this fall in the special on cow tags only to shoot a small calf. I think he got his belly full and doesn't plan to return with the new price increase. Most likely leaving his antelope and deer points on the table. I am seriously considering the...

    2023 Sask WT adventures

A, he can't bigger if he's dead. I think honestly it's a good pass and he is young.

    Opening day ML in Va

Added another stud from that same area. There has been some amazing deer taken this year already.

Best Bang For The $ Hunt Of A Lifetime?

I suppose you could do a road based hunt much cheaper if size of the animal didn't matter. A fly out hunt is going to be significantly higher with better odds of a big bull. Now if you're interested in jumbo bear @Sytes you may be able to get that for around your range in Newfoundland. I'd...

Best Bang For The $ Hunt Of A Lifetime?

That would be hard to do now with a quality hunt up there all expenses included. When we did it our guide alone was 5900 in 2017 or so.

He's a real bruiser for sure. Supposedly the guy missed him three years ago and finally took him. 180s I think.

    Make Bison Hunting Great Again

Wow congrats and this write up is note worthy as one of the best this year. Couldn't imagine putting one of those on the ground in the wilderness.

    Whitetail roadtrip to MT...

Very tall order unless you go guided if you're looking for quality. The BMAs get pounded from my experience chasing birds there. If it's brown it's down was what I witnessed.

    WY Deer?

A buddy was just up there elk hunting and saw very few deer in the back country. Zero good ones, a few does and small bucks in a week.

Who else has stopped helping people get/track points?

If someone can't take the time to educate themselves on what they are interested in I'm not spoon feeding them. I've had several people interested in going out West over the years. I've found they want you to do all the work while they benefit from it. I've dropped two states already and at...
