Winter kill update
We are supposed to get another 2 feet tonight and tomorrow. Sorry but I am willing to bet that this will surpass any winter event we have had in our lifetime. Already surpassed 17/18, 07/08. I was little at the time but it might have passed 84… -
2 Nights on the With my Boy!!!
Boysen has sucked this year. We can’t find any conisitent fish, this was lieu our best trip all year. Always lots of big trout, but no real walleye, perch, etc.- WYelker

Yeah we left around 1:00…. We were about 1/2 way between bad water and poison. We only saw one other guy come in from poison.- WYelker

So we hit the local fishing hole and spent 2 night on the ice. A mixed bag with a couple trout, sauger, walleye and ling…. It was a fun 2 nights and I got too much sun today. Still have 28” of ice and maybe a few trips left…- WYelker

Finally an equitable balance between resident and non resident shed hunting access.
Interestingly, in WY you technically have to have a permit and permission to pick up a dead head. Anyone know how a dead head would be different than a shed antler? I mean other than a dead head may have been poached. But a dead head from natural causes or even accidental loss seems to be the...- WYelker

Throw a bone? Seriously what is a better bone that having a full month of archery season and if you don’t kill you get to go rifle? Is t that the bast damn bone you can get? Seriously every single unit in the state the ability to draw a tag and hunt a whole month of archery before the rifle... -

Haha. Yes it will as the state will be able double even quadruple the archery tags with no real Impact on the resource. -

All that will do is force the state closer to pick a weapon and give the state an excuse to sell more tags. What exactly does type 9 accomplish? -

They are completely unnecessary and really accomplish nothing. The more type 9 we get the more we are pushed towards pick a weapon. I would rather all tags be type 1 and those who wish to archery hunt still do. All that will occur with more type 9 tags is great crowding and more pressure on the... -

Yeah they are up. A few Units saw 50% reduction of lope tags. However they do not go far enough… I am not happy at all with the cuts made to NR regional tags. All those could stand a good chunk more to be trimmed…. Really disappointed with the tag cuts around Lander, they should be more for sure… -

I have seen another 6 lay down and not get up between lander and Riverton WY. My rough math watching groups shows we’re are getting to around 60% mortality… Not a great method but it is a sample… -

Yeah that was a stupid point. Those 2 birds are completely different and easy to distinguish. But you know they will use the same logic to limit coyote hunting to protect the wolves…
