Doesn't really matter does it?
If this had been around when I first travelled across the pond in 2012 I would of signed up in a heart beat.
Many of my existing hunting skills were transferable but some weren't, this would of been useful to me back then.
Cheers
Richard
Took it easy on my 5k park run yesterday, only 27:10 recorded, the reason, I have signed up to a race this Thursday, across sand dunes, grass and tarmac, 4 miles, should be fun!
Thanks, please don't, it will show how slow I am :ROFLMAO:
A woman came first 16:17! But she has run for our country in the past, and recorded the fastest park run in the UK yesterday.
@Dave N as you know I'm only 5' 9'', I was blocked by a guy who was around 6' 3'':ROFLMAO:
Sadly the vegan...
Excellent thread, my neighbours did it at a similar age to you, loved every bit. As a flat lander I would struggle with the altitude, although I did go up 14,265' in Colorado one day, but my wife wouldn't cope with what you did.
Whats next on the bucket list?
Cheers
Richard
ps, apart from the...
Darn it, I got held up in traffic today, had to park 900m away from the start of the Park Run and was puffed out when I arrived with 5 minutes to spare, so 27:23 was down on last week, but, I was 177th out of 406 runners.
Already looking forward to next Saturday
There you go, you are already on your way to a successful hunt
BTW, I am not a local either, I live in the UK so what do I know :ROFLMAO:
Good luck
Richard
Sorry, for me it's just my weekly park run, but I'm getting quicker, slowly!
This was on Saturday, a beautiful sunny day brought out the runners!
There is a running group called 'vegan runners', he is my next target, he wears a shirt telling everybody he is a vegan (of course he does!) I was on...
My son and daughter travelled separately just before Covid hit, a lot of the advice above mirrors their experience, search out the backs streets of the main tourist attractions to find cheaper, and in a lot of cases much nicer food.
Watch out for pick pockets
If you get to Rome you might bump...
I have to agree, without this site I doubt I would of been as successful as I have, and passed on my tiny bit of experience to a couple of friends that came with me to find their quarry. I feel there is an element of suspicion when one first joins, but it soon goes away, and lots of advice and...
Thought I would break up the thread a bit with stuff from my side, my friend started hunting his roe bucks recently, I'm starting this week, in the meantime here is what he sent me over the weekend.
I guarantee I will never side with R or D on your side of the pond😂
Not sure if I have ever...
I do have a confession to make, I have never taken mine off my .22! I do wonder if the gasses they talk about corroding the crown are from large calibre rifles.
Also the last 1'' on the barrel
The leaflet that can with my suppressor also said remove after use.
So I air on the side of caution...
I switched to copper 18 months ago, tried a few different makes and came back to Barnes.
We had new players on the scene manufacturing copper, I tried some, and sadly found some deer were taking too long to die, thats why I went back to Barnes
Getting lead out of the environment can only be a...
So I get home from my park run today having just done my fastest time for sometime 26:51 and the wife had made this, trying to kill me with kindness 😂
(The runner who had the heart attack last week contacted the organisers, thanked everybody who saved his life, 6 runners were in fact doctors...
He is one lucky guy, progressing well in hospital. He is only early 40's, 2 daughters under 10, so he has a heart attack in a crowd of 400 runners, call goes out, fellow doctors/paramedics/nurses in the run go to his aid, defib in a fitness centre 100 yards away, so relieved his is recovering...
Attended park run today, but 1 minute before it started a call went out for any medical staff in the run help needed, chap had a heart attack, defib used and brought him back, helicopter flew him to Exeter. So jogged around instead and did a slow 5k 29:35 as it was cancelled, but can't get that...
