The death to the American Cowboy will likely happen in the next 20 years, barring the Lords return when all these 55-75 year old ranchers die and their properties come up for sale and only the weathly individuals that can utilize a ranch for a schedule F write off will be the ones buying them...
I sure agree more with Justin Schaff and Bob Anderson than Matt, especially when they show all the trophy animals in his house. I believe in helping out when time is available and I took off a day this fall to sort and haul cattle for a guy that was in BM last year but didn't re-enroll, not bc I...
Took my boat on one last trip before selling and it's going to a great family, but I will really miss it. Was trying to jig a spoon for walleyes when I caught a trout. Also seen a ufo last night.
I've been working between Sidney to Ekalaka and you aren't kidding. Which influencer talked about bird hunting in eastern MT. I've seen guys from GA, MI, MN, TX so far. It's complete bullshit
I've built multiple for way under $200 per foot, including land that was purchased in 2012/16, but not anymore. I've heard prices of $450 per sq/ft. The sub contractors have more than doubled. A lot in Flathead valley is way over 200k now. Even in the Mission valley a lot will be 120k.

Hopefully they dont kill off the remaining populations per CWD control/containment.
It took some balls to go before the commission and director and state her reasoning and studies of mule deer. I find it ironic the biologist in Region 7 think everything is peachy.
I'm not super experienced but I think a lot depends on the person's weight, fitness, and how they carry themselves in a walk/trot. They say 20% with tack is a full load. I see people at riding events and the woman is like 300 lbs, I feel really bad for the horse. It's not right on the animal...
Yes it can a lot. For example this week I was shooting a 223 at 200 and 300 yards. And with a 15 mph average cross wind at 200 yards it was ranging 5-7 inches to the right. At 300 yards it was over a 12". Your 300 would be considerably less but 7 inches would seem pretty typical.
Its pretty neat when you find a big set or find 8-12 antlers in a day. But those days only happen after a lot of miles, like once in a lifetime. I dont want any part of the circus on the game ranges in MT, it mostly seems like a big drunken beer bash.
I found this set elk hunting with my son in...
