There are a lot of people that struck out on elk that will put that money towards a special deer or antelope. That was my plan if I wouldn't have drawn elk.
I use a small weed sprayed filled with Vanilla and Anise mixed. For the fry oil I use a kids water soaker. You can spray oil pretty dang high up a tree.
