It is interesting to get campaign flyers in the mail of candidates bragging about their conservation wins...when they are the very ones making decisions to get rid of conservation efforts. So obviously they realize conservation matters to people but don't bother to actually make it better for...
I guess I just have a hard time comprehending that people will go to such lengths to break down these barriers to get what they want, such as privatizing wildlife. It just seems like there's more important things to these rich folk in the grand scheme of things for them, but I suppose greed is...
That's the positive outlook we need!
In all seriousness, this is extremely frustrating. It just seems absolutely stupid to me the lengths people will go to destroy wildlife for their own gain. If people want to leave a legacy, protecting our wild places and wildlife for everyone to enjoy...
"The lawsuit requests the judge declare elk regulations void, and require FWP and the commission, within 90 days to develop a plan to “remove, harvest or eliminate thousands of elk” as expediently as practicable. Regulations should be liberalized and free from special permits in over-objective...
I think if we went the pick your district route, we would need to break up some of some of these mega units that were just created.
I hope some good change can at least start, it seems like more hunters are paying attention and hopefully they care enough to actually listen to different ideas...
I like the idea of having amendments written out and given to the public clearly, although maybe it's a lot of reading, lots of people want to see what's going on exactly as written. Like with the last regulation changes, yeah it was confusing that they kept changing but I liked being able to...
What a shame but it's not too surprising that was a response.
Seems like every year I meet someone that complains about not being able to drive a gated road because they don't want to walk.
It's a shame that something really bad has to happen for some change instead of being a bit more...
"The impact of human development and recreation on Colorado’s elk herds has been a topic of intense interest in recent years. The Roaring Fork and Eagle valleys elk herds have experienced a 50% reduction in their population since around the year 2000, much of it credited to increased human...
My dad and I listened to the first episode while I was helping him with work and we finished it a different day while driving out for a hike. He wanted to say that he really likes this conservation focus and enjoys learning about it.
We look forward to listening to the rest!
I'm not sure and I wish that information and break down was more accessible. I agree residents could tolerate some license fee increases and hopefully that money would be put to some really good use. I understand to some that the fee increase might be a barrier amongst others. I think having...
Guys we are going about this all wrong. According to the guide that just mansplained (explained for you older folk) to me, the only real way to getting a bull is just take lots of time off from your job! I get that hunting during the week seems to be the new norm now but not everyone has mass...
I look forward to the first meeting. Like others, I recognize some familiar names on there but I know one person on there that is pretty receptive to different ideas. I remain hopeful and optimistic but we shall see how much compromise happens and which direction.
It's been refreshing to interact with other women that hunt here. Absolutely amazing stories and advice as well as some great jokes shared. Hoping to meet some of them one of these days.
I'm just gonna go with paper tags this year. I like to have my failures stare me in the face, it's a good souvenir.
I like the idea of e-tags but I'm kind of worried about something going wrong.
