Once you subtract the $3000 worth of meat makes it a little more palatable. And that's beef prices not bison and bison is some of the finest table fare on the planet.
Never said it did. But I refuse to use a bullet that explodes in the first couple inches of flesh , leaves no discernable wound channel and has excess meat damage. Especially when there is a pile of bullets that don't have those down sides and make animals just as dead.
From my experience the entire eldx bullet is "frangible". Shot 3 pronghorn with a 178 gr eldx in my 30-06. Every time they basically exploded on impact with 0 weight retention. They worked great for poking holes in paper about all they're good for IMO.
