The supply of single family homes is low. New home construcion would have to triple to close the 7.2 million home gap in 4 to 5 years.

So a program that allows public access for hunting on private property. Does anyone on this thread have experience hunting on AP lands? Do they have a quota, a sign in system ,etc? Thanks.
The next 6 months I plan to do lots of canoeing, shoot trap, run retrievers in hunt test and field trials, photograph bucks, bulls, rams, hunt Huns and Sharptails in September, hunt roosters, geese and ducks. Enjoy everday out in the field.
First summer heat wave here in western Montana.
Coming from Alaska, the first time I'm experiencing the 90s in 24 years.
This elk had a nice cool spot.
A couple of fawn photos from this week in western MT.
A local whitetail fawn from yesterday afternoon in our pasture, panting in the heat.
A mule deer fawn following mom with the classic pogo hop taken during an early morning hike on Tuesday.
My Alaska hunting partner once described Sandhill Cranes as "Flying Lawn Chairs".
The same for Great Blue Herons. This one from my Montana hike this morning.
The Great Blue Herons seem to feed mostly on fish in the summer then
switch to voles in the pastures in the winter.
I learned there...
The inventory of single family homes is about half of prepandemic levels and unlikely to increase substantially until construction costs and interest rates change. Low supply = high prices. As an example, when mortgage rates went from 3 to 8 percent, the price of houses remained high.
