The Rocky Mountain Bighorn Society Raffle rifle is complete. It ended up taking a little longer than planned waiting on some parts but it turned out beautiful and shoots lights out. Here is a few pictures with 100 and 700 yard group. Again want to thank everyone that bought tickets and...
Parts are starting to show up for the raffle winners rifle. Here is a list of the parts that she chose to use for this build. She decided to go all out with this rifle.

AG Composites Privateer stock
Triggetertech trigger

This is a little delayed but I met with the winner and we went through some build options. She decided to go with a 6.5 PRC and we are getting the parts all lined out now. Will update as it goes. Thanks to everyone that bought tickets and supported such a great cause.
They are lows for that rifle. Depending on the scope and action may have bolt handle clearance issues. I measure using the scope before I order to get the perfect height.
Here is a sneak peek for you guys of the rifle I will be running this fall that I just finished painting, Battle Worn Desert Sand.
Still have to do load development but the 3 shot group is rounds 11/12/13 out of the barrel during break in. With some different powders I expect 2900+ with the...
Thanks LongCut, I appreciate it, every rifle I build is the most important one for that customer and I guarantee they will be happy. If you have any questions shoot me a pm, even if I'm not building a rifle I always try to help guys get there dream built.
Its been awhile since I have been on but wanted to jump on with the raffle going on and say hi and let you guys know a little about Plains Precision. This is a great cause and after I drew my first bighorn tag last year and spent almost 30 days scouting and hunting I wanted to see more sheep...
Sounds like a good start I run 295 power belts with 100gr of 777. Its frustrating til you find a sight combination that works. Williams is no help either they will blame TC and just the opposite if you call TC. Hope it works.
You will have to raise the rear sight as high as you can. Even then I bet it'll shoot low at 100 yards. Williams didn't build there peep sights with enough vertical elevation for longer barreled muzzleloaders. The only one I have got them to work on is a 24" cva wolf. Ive heard some guys...
John I had my best year ever and she had her worst one.. She passed on a lot of good antelope looking for something over 80 and ended up not shooting one. Same with deer, she hunted for a good buck and didnt end up shooting anything.
Been a while since Ive stopped in and made a post. Been a busy year with work but fall was slow with oil prices down, gave me time to do some hunting. Everything was taken on public ground which made them all awesome memories. All the deer had to be packed out over 1.5 miles which only made...
Been a long three days lots of glassing. We have scoured the 7000 acre ranch and the best we have found is a buck that will come up shy of 80. He has some character so tomorrow he is the number one target since its the last day. Sorry about the pictures haven't gotten them uploaded to HT yet. Soon.
We made it out to the ranch this afternoon for a half day of scouting. Saw some pretty good bucks, hopefully we can get a better look tomorrow and take some pictures.
