Hunted too long if.....
12 days hunting elk this season I lost so much weight none of my pants fit, I don't have much to lose as it is. My wife said I was looking like I hadn't slept in 2wks and barely ate.. which she's not entirely wrong.- dwatling

Antelope...Lets See Them!!!
My wife's NM buck from last week. Maybe one day I can draw a tag in my home state. Until then I'll have to live vicariously through her Haha. -
Southern NM near Florida Mountains Advice
Welcome to HT! Those roads around the Florida's are pretty nasty. 4 wheeler recommended. Ive only been out there in January hunting ibex but saw a couple deer on the east side of the mountains like your planning. Not sure where they would be in September but if you can find some water they won't... -
Sandhill Crane
Welcome! Ive never bothered with calls or decoys for crane. The best way ive found to hunt them is locate their roost and SNEAK in before sunrise. Once the sun comes up they'll all leave the roost and if you're in the right spot they'll fly right over you. Always fill my limit about 2 minutes...- dwatling

Gravelly Range Closure: Grizzlies
I thought the grizz was an endangered species and the population wasn't high enough? If it's so endangered there can't be that many bears to justify a closure. Unless the entire population is in this area. -
2020 new mexico archery antelope
Ive put in for archery antelope in NM for the past five years. Not hard to draw units either, even looking at gohunt. Im yet to draw a tag. Most landowners want $1500+ for tags and I can't justify that, but my wife has applied for antelope 3 times and drawn twice. Just don't count on the draw... -
Best resource for finding a spot for 37’ travel trailer for CO Elk hunt?
I usually just Google rv camp grounds near my hunting spots. I too have a generator but having the full hookups is nice. You can leave the ac/ heater on all day with no worries. Also a lot of rv sights have dry sights which are much cheaper and have no hookups at all. Or just find you a chunk of... -

Never Duck Hunted
Check out "Bobby Guy films" on YouTube, he's got a couple tutorial videos and most his hunting content is a good time killer. Duck hunting is an absolute blast, but be warned it'll become an addiction quick. I look forward to duck season just as much as big game.- dwatling

Since you're already building points in MT & WY I would just pick another species from one of those 2 states. Once you start adding more states to the mix things get a lot pricier quick.
