That unit is the reason I started picking up an OTC bear tag. They're all over the place, I've always ran into them on east facing slopes usually covered in oak brush. Not sure if that's just coincidence though.

We harvested 2 antelope last year with a 300WM with no issues. One was a frontal shot and the bullet came out his back end just past the tenderloins so no meat loss on either goat. Both dropped in their tracks. Plan on using it again this year in Wyoming for pronghorn. Also for my NM bull :)
Im a NM resident but always plan 1 out of state hunt per year. I build points in most western states for all the species I enjoy and have a reasonable shot at. Wyoming antelope is a good start for out of staters because the deadline is so late I can plan that depending on what I draw in NM...

I think NM knows that we all are desperately waiting on results and they get a kick out of toying with us. It would help ease some of this quarantine suffering though.
