    Wild horses/BLM land

    In Northwest Colorado the BLM has rounded up around 6-700 on both public and private ground. The tree huggers and our very strange governor finally got the effort shut down on public.

    Bob Fulkrod was on a caribou hunt in Alaska when I was there. He was nice guy and a lot of fun. He could tell some really funny stories. He got a nice bull. The Weatherby crew was there on a hunt to test the 378. Both made camp fun and the videos were good when I saw them.

    Thanks for the memories

    I am now done hunting due to age related issues and yes memories are all I have left. I did have 64 very good years and did all of my bucket list except a stone sheep hunt. I took my first elk when I was 14.

    I think most companies are putting price increase clause in their contract now. We just are completing a new aggregate plant and the electrical went up $100,000 over the original quote.

    First western hunt suggestion for a 10 y/o

    How about just taking him on a tour of a national park in the West ? The elk are going nuts in Estes Park right now and you can really get an idea of what they are all about. You could also go to Wyoming or Walden CO and look at the antelope.
