    Does it pay to fly for a hunt

    Flying is about the only way to hunt Northern BC and Alaska and it will add 30-35% to the cost. Part of the adventure is the drive when hunting in the lower states. I have driven to Anchorage twice and it is like driving from Denver to San Francisco and back 3 times but it sure was interesting.

    Must be the Idaho woodpeckers..peckers got sore ? The ones doing the most damage are little black/white guys. They don't make any noise but boy can they drill fast ! Flickers are around also there are 7 different types of woodpeckers in the Denver area........all wanting to eat MY HOUSE ! grrrrr

    Woodpecker damage

    Having a hard time with woodpeckers drilling holes in my house siding which is a Drivet (sp) type (stucco over styrofoam). Nothing I have tried seems to faze them... Any ideas ? They are a protected bird so I can't shoot them and I live in a subdivision. Any suggestion will be most appreciated !

    Monster Dall sheep killed

    I just saw where a 46 1/2" 12 year old doll was taken this year in Alaska. The photo just blew me away. It made my 41" look like a lamb.
