I thought if I draw we’d use it to fly the district in the preseason just to get a lay of the land and drop some pins. Not planning on finding one and naming it, because I am not retarded.
My buddy has a Cessna and I have a boat. Should I draw, I intend to do it right. I just hope I can free up enough time to give it my all. I wish we did our draws way earlier so a guy could budget his free time better.
As someone who actually has enough points to have lightning strike and draw one of these years, this interests me. Wondering if the OP has a similar bank of points or, with all due respect, is he like the dude from WY planning his moose hunt with 2 points to his name? I have always wanted to do...
Paints all 12 fence posts around the place fluorescent orange and a no trespassing sign every other post even through the property is like 150 yards across in any direction.
Seems like the CSKT non rez resident fishing/hunting/camping… is maybe getting cost prohibitive. I’m kind of wondering if it’s even worth it anymore. I imagine a lot of people will weigh that cost against the ever-declining upland population and just say f it, not worth it. Habitat has become so...
Pay close attention to boundary changes, particularly where they have changed a boundary from say, a historical and logical boundary to a section road 1 section away. This is a big time way FWP busts unsuspecting people of hunting in the wrong district when they are honestly trying not to break...
They didn’t listen to any of my comments on proposed changes. Pretty sure they didn’t listen to biologists either. 2022 - the great ungulate extinction!
Can we just start small with choose your weapon? I have long been a proponent of choose your region, or a new grouping of HDs instead of this free for all that we have now. Most everyone on this forum has a pretty rational view on this. I can’t imagine how these ideas would go over on a Montana...
I don’t understand why many of you feel so entitled to the ability to hunt all over the place. A lot of it comes off as greed, particularly the people who are shooting multiple bull elk each year. Just because you can doesn’t necessarily mean you should. I am trying not to impose my moral values...
You can go with a guide. Or get them zeroed out because according to every other thread on this forum the points are worthless, they are a scam, you’ll have to live 3000 years to use them…..
No, not more outfitting. Maybe we take the number of outfitted sportos per year averaged over the last 5 years and whatever that number is, we say this is how many non-resident tags we are giving, no more, and all hunting by non residents is now guided only.
