    A big part of my decision to walk away so early is the mounting damage from my time in service. I’m going to enjoy things while I can…. And have a zero debt lifestyle. I can be a telephone marketing person when I’m stuck in bed.

    I “semi retired” May 1 at 40. I take in about 1 months worth of full time work and spread it across the year. So far…..the fishing, spring Turkey, and range time increase has been awesome.

    When you bring up moose everything changes a bit. Their bone structure is quite large. I’d max out at 80-90 with a handgun. Roughly 125 with a carbine. 44 will take critters quite a ways out. I took white tail at 240, 186, and 98 yards this year with a 7.5” handgun and quite a few other longer...

    .44 mag ammo for deer

    Deer are pretty easy to kill. I’d opt for a hollow point every time. Even when I hunt elk with a 44 all I use is a 240 hollow point. I don’t run factory ammo often….240 Sierra is my top choice. I did kill a cow with BArnes factory ammo last year.
