    Bullet for moose...VLD?

    My Tikka 7mag loves 175gr Partitions loaded to 2965fps with RL22. They've been great on elk and deer, never had a moose tag. I only shoot Bergers for match loads.

    Optics recommendations vortex or ziess

    Zeiss conquest binos are fantastic. Check out a Kowa 15-45 spotter, and the best glass you can afford for your rifle scope. I have the PST Gen 2 but not on a hunting rifle. I wouldn't carry that weight in the field.

    We bring a generator to run the chest freezer once the first elk is down. We also pack a grinder and vac sealer to process everything in camp before driving 2 days back home.

    1. Only elk: 300 Win Mag 2. Mostly elk: 7mm Rem Mag 3. Mostly deer, some elk: 270 Win 4. All deer and antelope: 7mm-08 Hard to leave off the 30-06, especially since that's what I carried my first 20+ years of hunting.
