Some of you really under estimate how flat out stupid some people (yes, including hunters) are. I’ve seen a hunter mistake an Elk for a blacktail and kill it, I’ve seen them fire off 30 round mags (AR-15) in a canyon where their own friends/family are sitting to spook game, ive seen them look...- lastlight

Seems this map showing fires must not be significant? I’ve been watching one in the SW Owyhee area on this map but can’t find any info on it anywhere else. Is ID letting these small fires burn out or are they suppressing? -

I should have specified on the forked horn comment, its not just about a forked horn because there are some mature deer in this state that are only forked horn. Its the fact that most of the deer here killed are 1.5-2.5 years old on public land. It mainly only a problem if you're after quality... -

You say out state is doing a poor job at marketing, how and why should we market to nonresident hunters? We don’t have a market for nonresidents for elk, antelope sheep, etc. We don’t have a spring bear season which is the only productive way to hunt bears outside of bait/hounds in the fall... -

Anything is possible, most likely bears won’t learn much if only a hand few tags are issued. But If grizz hunters were to shoot at, miss clean, wound, etc as many bears as they do elk I’m sure at least SOME bears will get a different feeling about man in the lower 48. CPW is trying alternative methods to stop wolves in cattle country...
How can a few burros stay close to a few hundred head of cattle? I don’t discount their ability to go to battle for a few cows in a small pin but if you got 400 head of cattle on a 10,000 acre ranch how’s that going to work? -

Google Helicopters :) Well drones are all around illegal in wilderness areas regardless of permits. Permits are only needed if they are monetizing their videos. Contact the local USFS office to the area about reporting.- lastlight

No. But you can find a bucket of YouTube videos of people using them in wilderness areas from hunters to backpackers. When you do report to the USFS. I have a hate for drones in me like no other. Fantasize about shooting them down on public lands all the time LOL.- lastlight
