My buddy put one on his deer shotgun (Illinois).
Opening day about daylight he texts me to say he's running to town because the batteries in his scope were dead.
I do a heck of a lot of roadside trash cleanup around the neighborhood county roads close to home, our land and others nearby.
Disgusts me what pigs people can be.
Just got back from a great fishing trip to NW Ontario with three life long buddies. Drove from IN, overnighted in northern WI, then pushed on across the border at International Falls to Red Lake where we overnighted again. Took a short float plane ride early the next morning out to the lodge for...
When Indiana legalized short fat centerfire rifle cartridges several years ago -vs- shotguns or muzzle loaders only, myself and a buddy had identical .375 Whisper rifles built.
This was before all the nice specialty cartridges like .350 Legend, etc. were mainstream.
Started with Tikka bolt...
I just hate to see large parcels split up. That kind of thing has ruined a lot of the farms around here.
Have a place next door that was originally an 80 acre farm. Over the course of my lifetime it has been split up multiple times, selling parcels to family, divorces and changed...
I'd get an older 16' vee bottom with a good outboard, at least 40hp, then put brand new troller and electronics on it.
Can find some pretty good deals on 10-15 year old quality boats that simply have some age and wear on them.
Don't borrow money and do payments for a toy / boat.
I'm in the midwest which is very different from Montana, but here I would mow it short, spray to kill everything, till the entire thing, let weeds start resprouting then spray to kill again, then drill in my preferred seed. If you don't get much rain, the full tillage thing might put you out...
Wow ! Glad nobody got hurt.
Also points out how crappy these modern campers are built.
Surprising they don't fall apart more frequently just bumping down the road.
Have witnessed a few folks get sucked into the horse thing big time; buy the spread, build the barns, get a big truck and trailer, tractor and equipment to take care of things, get all the horses & tack, attend all the events and shows, win buckles, trophies and ribbons, then eventually end up...
Thanks for the feedback, but got it fixed and running.
Was a simple stupid deal ....... rotated the prop slightly while trying to shift and it easily went into neutral.
Hooked up my battery, put the water ear muffs on it, kill switch on run, throttle in start position and she fired right up when...
A buddy of mine passed away last year and his widow is trying to sell the boat which has a 1999 Merc, 4 stroke, 25 HP hand tiller, manual trim tilt outboard.
Took my battery over there and water earmuffs to run the thing but didn't get anywhere.
The shift lever was in forward when I got there...
I've always gone with an outfitter and have killed some dandy whitetails in the SE part of state.
They put a limit on non res tags a few years ago and now lucky to get drawn every 2nd or 3rd year.
Although it is a great deal of many family's net worth, I don't look at your primary home as much of an investment. Doesn't really matter if you bought it cheap and it appreciated a bunch in value, because when you sell and cash out you're going to have to get right into something else to keep...
Had an article in our local newspaper this week about a 56 year old genius who was arrested for selling meth laced with insecticide.
Guess that keeps you from getting meth worms?
