Slim Fit Pants?
As an update to this, I recently tried a bunch of the different Sitkas and ORs to zero success. Ended up ordering Prana Stretch Zion Slim Fit IIs and Kuhl Free Radikls in the taperad cut. Camping Outside Designated Sites in Wilderness Area [RESOLVED]
Closing the loop here. Finally got in touch with the USFS supervisors office and was told the permit is still required but dispersed camping and off trail exploration is allowed while hunting. On a serious note, I personally prefer a thumb release as it’s helped with my target panic and can slide right into the side pocket of my bino harness. Don’t want it on my wrist while running around mountains but it’s right there when needed -

Why fewer California elk
Certainly seems like some ideal habitat for them but given the deer herds in those areas have been on the decline, I would have to assume an elk herd introduction would not do well. -
