Sent to Hank and my commissioner. Registered for the 20th. My newbie self was able to pull a six by out of 313 this year, which goes to show how much they got pushed down into easily accessible areas
What's always happened for me with hunting is as follows: Given two choices where one is uncomfortable and sucks and I want to make the easier decision, its usually the uncomfortable decision that puts me in the game and the easier decision is a total waste of time. E.g. I tell my buddy to do an...
After several long weekends of walking all over the mountains during the MT rifle season, I managed to get hit with dumb luck.
With all my hunting companions out at TWS in spokane, I drove down to a buddies place to fill a mule deer doe tag for a SW MT unit (yes please eviscerate me), which I...
Haven't heard of this particular instance but my friend talked to a FS LEO two weeks ago who was driving that area who described multiple similar smaller scale instances on the border of BLM / Private. Landowner harvests an elk on a ranch, elk bolt, and then a slaughter as soon as they cross to...

If you got cash to burn I would absolutely get a super lightweight 3 season, the hilleberg style tents even in a 3 season vs a 3 season from something like TarpTent are orders of magnitude easier to pack.
Id suggest 2 person as well, I have a 4 person rated circus tent (MSR Front range) and it gives me more space and keeps me further away from the walls and packs down smaller than a 2 person tent
+1 for the XTherm (get the biggest rectangle one, it will piss off your tent mates though), even having the warmth in the summer is nice because it lets me run a lighter sleeping bag.
Ive had one for over 5 years and it still holds air
