what is the best 300 Win Mag brass?
All, I have Nosler brass for my 300 win mag that has so far been through 5 firings and no signs of neck cracks/splits, etc... Wanting to know if there is a better option and who makes your favorite brass?- samuel_284Win

My Pronghorn this year was the first animal to fall to the hand loads my brother-in-law and I worked up for my 300 win mag. Was a 175 gr Barnes LRX in Nosler brass with Federal no215 primers with 75.5 grains of RL-26 seated at 3.47 COAL. Muzzle velocity of 3090 fps. Worked very well. Died in the...- samuel_284Win

Favorite 100% copper bullets for 300 Win Mag handloads?
I went with the Barnes 175 LRX for my 300 win mag. Best powder has been RL26 (at 75.5 gr with my 3-shot group at 100 yards being 0.4 MOA) followed closely by H1000.- samuel_284Win

Cow Elk double in November with my fiance at the time (now wife). 300 Win Mag with 180 gr solid coppers. She shot first and dropped her cow at 330 yards. I then got on the gun and dropped another cow at 400 yards. Was one for the memory books and resulted in lots of tasty sausage, bratwurst...- samuel_284Win

How long did it take for your first elk?
I started elk hunting in 2019 via a cow tag in WY and thus began the steep learning curve. 2021 was my first elk and was lucky to do it with archery tackle so took 3 years.- samuel_284Win
