Is the Kifaru Gun Bearer comfortable?

Offseason Learning: Processing Wild Game
I process most of my game myself and I'm sure no expert. It takes me about 7 hours and several beers total to do an elk. My back couldn't handle trying to do it in one day though so I usually take two or sometimes three days. What I've started doing is freezing the meat in larger chunks...- BRI

Help with meat going bad in freezer.
Interesting about the upright frost free freezer. I've never had any issues until after I started using one but never considered that to be the problem. Headlamps
My pack always has two headlamps with the spare being battery. On one cold, below zero day, I had the plastic end piece of a Princeton TEC headlamp break. Without a spare it would have sucked big time.- BRI

300 win mag vs 300prc vs 30 nosler vs 300 RUM
If you don't already have components, compare the price to purchase material (if you can find any) to load 100 rounds. That made for an easy 300WM decision for my buddy. This is something I don't know but what is the anticipated case life on each of these? I know there's likely some variables... -
Headlamps
I've got three of the black diamond and they are great. However, picked up one of the Fenix HR65 rechargable before this season. That thing is awesome. It's expensive but well worth it.- BRI

Montana mule deer rant
There's still some good bucks out there plus hundreds of deer. Hell this guy strolled right in front of me as I was leaving the gas station. Too bad they just happen to be in the city limits. I'd bet a beer they are included and counted in the overall management unit though. -

Had an elkhorns tag in 2005 and had an amazing experience. Drew last year and it absolutely sucked. The elkhorns has become such a shit show! Until they make some changes, I'd have a hard time thinking it's a top tag anymore. I've never seen so many people and certainly never seen that many...- BRI
