I got a "New" Burris Fullfield 2 6.5 x 20 for $117 delivered this week. Like the ballistic mil dot duplex. Got lucky on Ebay. Made a ridiculous offer and they accepted. Have not mounted it yet, might be a reason to buy another rifle. Sure, the adjustments turn a little stiff but maybe that...
I had a Big Tire 200 Yamaha. It would climb decently but didn't like ice after too many folks packed the roads down. I think the Rokon would be the way to go with a trailer behind it. Little more spendy though.
You cannot install permanent stands on public ground around here. A few years back I went thru the local hot spot and removed all the old wood stands. Didn't feel sorry for it either. They were probably more dangerous than effective. I have found hang on stands on a chunk of private that no...
I use one of the those old Pacific presses and sometimes think maybe I should upgrade but if I'm making ammo that generates sub moa groups at 200, do I really need to? I dont think so.
"Well for better or worse I bought a new bow and I'm going to gift my old one to my buddy who is trying to get into Archery. He is a very successful rifle hunter for Mule Deer and wants to up the challenge."
There wouldn't be used bows if people stop buying new ones. Good job getting a new...
You could also take a small pin punch and line up with a groove in the bit to try to tap it counterclockwise which may make it free up and move backwards. Just do not get too carried away with the tapping. It obviously caught on something to make it break unless you got unlucky and got a shitty...
Put a small amount of JB weld on the other end of that broken bit and try to weld it to the broke section. Put tape or some kind of release agent around the hole to avoid sticking to stuff. GIve it cure time and twist pull it out. Lets see what our resident Gunsmith pro says.
From what I can tell, there is still a lot of resentment over loosing the Northstars to Dallas even after all these years. Now, my Redwings are finally starting to come back around. With just about all sports anymore, you see the players move around a lot. Not much lifetime commitments anymore...
You do feel kind of guilty with a dremel in your hand before beginning surgery on a nice piece of stainless steel. Praying you don't mess it up. We can't all be P Ham's.
Well so much for that review, here I thought I might learn something. Someday I'll be tempted to replace my Maxxis 31 with something a little newer but this thing still works. Are you sponsored by Mathews now or did the bow just shoot better? Peer pressure, what?
The IMR 4350 which I kinda like in a lot of stuff was $64 a lb. today while most of the other stuff was still in the $45-54 range. Must have been a price increase. Still the primer thing though.
Just got my 338 today. So far things look pretty promising. Its a stainless Savage 116 in a Hogue overmolded stock. I took it apart to check to see if I was lucky enough to get a full aluminum bed block. Bingo. Those stocks soak up a lot of recoil. While in the there noticed I also got a...
Main reason to have a book is so you have some information to lean on besides the stuff you read on the web. There is always more to learn. You like your fingers I assume. Learning about pressure is critical and the things that can affect it.
