I've seen a bunch of places say the Maven and the Ares are the same scope, and if that's the case the Ares can be found for a few hundred less. FWIW, I have the Ares and I think it's a solid option for the price. Optics are good, low light performance isn't amazing, but you get what you pay for.
I dabbled with squash myself in college when the racquetball courts were all booked, so no judgement against squash. Just everything about his background leads me to believe he picked up hunting/trapping in 1995 when he moved to Montana. He's been hunting in some form or another much longer...
Counties need money for roads, SB442 would’ve dedicated a portion of MJ taxes to maintaining county roads. Gianforte wanted the entire MJ tax to go to the general fund, which fortunately failed. Pay attention to the legislature this time around and contact your reps and let them know you want...
Nobody is going to convince me that a 63-year-old who was born in San Diego, raised in Philadelphia, started a software company in high school, and played squash at his private college has been trapping for 50 years.

Look at Busse’s socials - he...

I think this shows a similar situation to what we’re talking about with FWP, and is indicative of Gianforte’s failure as the state executive. I work for the DOT and there are...
If it's the industry standard HUB (1-3/8"x24tpi) direct thread adapter, you could order direct from a manufacturer. I have a Diligent Defense suppressor in the CLEO notification period right now, but I ordered their 1/2x28 DT adapter and it's only $55 and in stock in multiple barrel thread pitches.
I too shot a turkey once. 270 130gr Core Lokt at about 15 yards. Made some turkey burger (literally).
The shadow from my hat making it look like I’m missing my front tooth is the real icing on the cake 😂
Just received approval for my Diligent Defense Enticer S Ti. For 4 Trust was resubmitted 4/30, approved 5/14. Capitol Armory said they would request an expedite on the resubmittal as it shouldn't have been rejected for the mistake in the trust beneficiary, but IDK if that had anything to do...
Insinuating one of your fellow seals shot you to cover for an accidental discharge at your car in a national park seems pretty low to me, but maybe I’m old fashioned.
Still waiting on my tax stamp so I can't comment on performance, but if weight and length matter, I think you want direct thread. For suppressors with the standard HUB mount (1.375x24), you can compare weight and total length for the direct thread adapter vs a QD adapter and muzzle device, and...
I would have no hesitation hunting elk with 7-08. The only reason I went Creedmoor over that for my Superlite is the factory ammo availability, but I still fully intend to wind up with one in 7-08 soon and that would be my go-to elk gun for days I expect to hike a bunch and don't want to lug...
Regulation costs aren't just the price of the permit, it's the engineering and construction costs to build to the regulatory standard. So yes, materials went up, but the bill of materials is what it is because everything has to be so over-engineered.
The only reason it's so expensive is because of the extraordinarily high regulatory requirements relative to other forms of energy and the NIMBYism that is on prominent display in this thread.
