Oh man, I found a factory new custom shop xp 100 in 6br one time. With a 2x7 Burris pistol scope.
They had a $700 tag on it.
I told the guy it was more of a 600 gun.
He said Sold!
He went in the back and came out with a hard case, brass, ammo, and dies.
Must have sat there for awhile...
The reason for that is this thread.
People trip over themselves trying to show off how much they know.
But the net/net of it, is that every time you help some noob, you cut your own throat.
The general elk tag in WY has gone from 50% draw with 0 points a few short years ago, to literally...
Every cool gun I've ever found was at a gun show, or pawn shop. The more you go to, the more cool stuff you find. Of course your ability to schmooze will determine the prices.
Corporate retail are the places I never waste any time.
Josey
Quigley
Lonesome Dove
Jeremiah Johnson
Legends of the fall
Tombstone
But, I could watch every one listed in this thread with no problem. ( except the Revenant, that might be the worst movie in the history of Hollywood).
And, Gunsmoke.....I could watch Gunsmoke all day.
Western hunting as pitched by the outdoor marketing machine is over.
Like the 1849 gold rush is over.
The only way to have any control over the when, and where is through LO vouchers, and other opportunities that you simply buy.
You'll never catch up to the general again.
And you don't need points for the random.
So, your literally flushing money .
If wasting money. Send it to veterans, or st. Judes. Up your karma quotient for the random draw.
It wasn't that many years ago general was like 75% with zero points.
People couldn't grasp back then that it would take 4 points to draw general.
So 6 wouldn't surprise anyone now.
