Hopscotching out. Outfitter dropped us at a cabin in the concession in case he couldn’t get my guide and I both out that night.
Yeah, I don’t give a rip what any study says. There are no Stone sheep within 300 miles of where I took my Fannin. If I had the money I’d have a proper slam...Fannin, Dall, Stone, Rocky, Cali, Nelsoni, and Mexicana.
As far as eats go, axis deer and my DIY muskox In AK are the only thing that...
I took my dream animal, a beautiful Fannin ram from absolutely as far north as a non resident could take one in September 2002. Not a day goes by that I don’t want to go back and do it again. I had the opportunity to hunt Bighorns in Colorado with my recurve for a month in August of 2007. Not a...
I’ll come back and read all the great advice later. My advice as a guy who killed a Stone‘s ram at 32 and has been trying like hell to save for a Dall is you aren’t going to out save a sheep hunt...and I am really, really happy every day when I look at my ram and relive that hunt for the past 20...
That would be great picture; M99 and a ram.
I‘m not buying a new rifle for a sheep hunt, I want my sheep rifle to be one I am 100% comfortable and confident with.
Yep, I buy a number of times during the year. I even watch the drawing live praying they will call my name...even for a Goulds turkey tag. Pretty entertaining, not many guys who win understand the golden ticket they have been given. I’d be bouncing off the walls!
Featherweights usually have 22” barrels, sporters 24”. Slimmer profile on the featherweight barrel and stock as well. I’ve owned dozens of M70s of all shapes and sizes. Featherweight would be my pick with your description. I’d split the calibers and go 7mm-08 though.
That would be interesting to know. I bet a call to the office in Wyoming might turn that info up. I’d guess a solid or a Partition in the lungs. Same with the Cape Buffalo.
Well, I am disappointed I did not draw my sheep tag, again, but I sure do appreciate Idaho both in how they have no point system and how quickly they conduct the draw and get out the results.
My card seems to be defective as well. 21 sheep and elk points don’t do much good it seems. I’m not expecting much from Nevada but love the no point wildcard in Idaho.
