Don’t worry about the outfitters, they will get their “fair” share of tags. Whatever NR tag cuts are made, be sure the NR tag prices will go up double that to make sure no NR revenue is lost by that or any loss in point purchase revenue. I’m not a deep pockets guy, it was very easy to give up...
I had 3 more points than I needed for a 3rd season tag I was looking for. My two buddies with 8 more points than they needed of course drew. I’ve been looking for a landowner tag to try and join them. Found one...$9000! C’mon Wyoming.
A forehead rest would improve the ELs just as it does the NLs. It’s not that the NLs need the forehead rest. It is just a nice extra added feature allowed by the new design.
I changed from 10 EL to 12 NL last fall and have zero regrets. The NL “handles” much better, has the same FOV with 2x...
If I were a guide I would do the EL Range. Since I am not, and since rangefinders get SO much better with each generation I prefer a smaller, up to date, and separate range finder. I would get the 12x42 NL Pures 100%. Then once you are confident you have the best (this will happen as soon as you...
That’s awesome. Finally after 30 bonus points I was able to draw a NR Gould’s tag and fill it opening day this year as well. Those birds are the gobblingist SOBs I’ve ever encountered! I’m back to building points and hope to retire in AZ so it won’t be a once in a lifetime experience.
I show 21 now. I plan to give the ram draw another try or two, then I’m going sheep hunting. Seeing someone not drawing an ewe tag with 20 points does have me a little more depressed than my usual not drawing the ram tag.
It’s VERY stressful! In 2018 I was in the same situation and had the majority of points in the Desert Sheep. You can’t be disappointed with any of the results but it definitely is stressful. They are MUCH quicker these days with the emails though.
I drew Beaver mountain goat and had an...
There is no better outfit in the NWT, maybe in all the sheep hunting world, than Gana River and Harold. I’ve long dreamed that would be where I would take my Dall. No brainer some tickets are coming my way. I got the flyer the other day but had not had a chance to look it over. Excellent.
Don’t wait any longer. You should have done it LAST year before the baby. You don’t need premier gear. Dude, you are going to blink your eye and you will be 53 and the unlimiteds are VERY unappealing to 99.99% of 53 year olds in this country. Take this from a guy who spent a month in Colorado at...
If you want to take a little drive out by TCU, there is a great place called The Woodshed. They have a featured game meat every day and a lamb brisket that is out of this world.
