Satelite cell phones?
One negative, can only use in a handful of countries. Obviously usa is the main useful one, but I was hoping it would be useful on international travel, doesn't appear to be the case unless you travel to one of the dozen or so listed countries. Sig Sauer Rangefinder
I have a sig. Like it well enough. Does better than my old bushnell. Always figure it can only range about half the quoted distance. Do you think she doesn't know how to budget? Because living on your own in college is more than just paying rent. In my opinion it's more about learning how you can stretch a dollar. Agreed, I run a high limit on under/uninsured because of that. Few dollars extra to get $500k a year is money well spent in my eyes- SD_Prairie_Goat

Fair but this thread is about home insurance. Plus most states allow you to self insure for auto as well. Sd only requires like $30k cashiers check to self insure off the top of my head- SD_Prairie_Goat

No law to require it that I know of. Just if you want a mortgage the underwriter will require it to protect their investment. Once you own your home free and clear you can drop that policy and hope your luck stays positive!- SD_Prairie_Goat

Alaska's Rivers Of Rust.
Not ideal by any means. Didn't see much on it, but I'd be curious if this had already caused a decline in salmon population in these select rivers? Thinking outloud, maybe kings are more susceptible to the minerals and that's been another part of their major decline?- SD_Prairie_Goat

What does he want to do with the money? If it's for anything other than retirement you're better off putting it in a brokerage account. Most are very liquid until you get to high dollar amounts as well.- SD_Prairie_Goat

Hunt is all of October. Hills are almost 95%+ public for my unit so shouldn't have a problem with access. I'm leaning pretty heavily on DIY from everything I'm hearing and have previously experienced out there Also, I don't think you're allowed to hunt on a golf course??
