    Nice work! In the future consider brown wrapping paper to enclose the salted and dried in hide in for shipping. It is never a good idea to put untanned hides in plastic bags.

    I remember the days that it was deer and antelope covering private Wyoming fields. The G&F was saying the same thing about deer and antelope then, that they are saying now about elk. Those of us that lived here in those days, know all too well how that turned out for many herds across the state.

    I agree with all this. I've patched in that area in the past and no one but me know it was done. Your taxidermist should have known the cape was cut short and brain stormed with you before mounting it. It will be harder to fix because it is mounted.

    I don't think any distinction is made or should be made. Let them ask questions. It is your right to be armed in the Park, plain and simple. I stalked a bison that was on NF though Teton Park with a 300 RUM that had three in the box. No big deal.
