You don't know what you don't know.
"It ain’t what you don’t know that gets you into trouble. It’s what you know for sure that just ain’t so." -purportedly Mark Twain.
It would've been great if I had found this website or a similar one 20 years ago. I grew up in a state that basically only had...
TX transplant here. When I first moved here I kept on hearing people use the phrase "deer lease". I thought to myself...."what the heck are these people talkin' about?" After a steep learning curve I finally get it.....and don't. Foreign thing to me.
Likely best eaten as a BBQ or started off in a longer acidic based marinade.

Ok so... serious question. I'm no biologist.
If the hippos are causing that much ecological damage, what exactly is the downside to the "whack 'em and stack 'em"? I guess what I'm asking is... Even if the animals are sterilized, they'll still expire at some point, leaving an 8000lb carcass...
Can you imagine the story.....
New guests walk into your house...
"Wow, is that a real hippo head?"

The only bino comparison I've had for binos in my life is a pair of flea market "swift focus" 8x40s. Just got the Maven Demos. Quite the difference. I'll likely need a tripod w these though for extended glassing. Looking forward to comparing side by side w previously mentioned.
Maven B2 11x45.
Hopefully they arrive early enough I can compare them with the Zeiss Conquest 10x42 & Meopta Meopro Air 10x42 both which are showing in stock at the local sporting goods store.
