pfft this is a record setting thread, need to get to 100,000 views and 10,000 responses. Of course if it gets to out of hand I imagine @Big Fin will lock it up.
Sensible discussion on ethical caliber/hunting methods/etc. is a good thing. Discussion on compensating for deficiencies may be...
The old school in me is saying .308 but 7mm SAUM sounds very interesting. I am a 7mm-08 fan but not sure if it has the nads for everything you are looking for in the build.
The way I sell friends on getting vaccinated when they toss the conspiracy theory bit is to play into it, I agree it is a conspiracy but that they have it wrong. It is a conspiracy to say it was naturally occurring. It was manmade is a lab to show how a common cold virus could be manipulated...
Kimber will give you a 3 position safety in a 5 pound 7 ounce rifle, may not have a hinged floorplate option, what I see is a detach mag version. The Tikka SuperLite is about the same if you are willing to give up the 3 position safety for a 2 position one. I guess if price is not a factor you...
Found this thread and love the info. I am about a month or so away from starting my reloading journey. I plan on starting with 7mm-08 (as well as 30-06) and have seen enough positive feedback, here on HT, to try the 131 gr Hammer Hunters. I still am in the learning phase on powders/primers...
Triple 7 and Pyrodex have worked fine for me. That said I did use pellets where there were legal in NY but they are available in powder form. I plan on trying BlackHorn 209 but yeah harder to find that then Triple 7 or Pyrodex
Probably, I am neither an accountant, lawyer or politician, so the fine points escape me. That aside the issue is LaPierre misdirecting funds for his personal use, if I understand the NY DA claims against him/the NRA. My point still stands LaPierre has to go.
Actually they are a tax exempt non-profit organization. Issue isn't them turning a profit, the issue is Wayne Lapierre using donations for his personal slush fund, which is illegal under tax exempt law.
Like I said the NRA can correct itself but it will require LaPierre to resign his post...
With a name like Crookston, I would think the last thing you would want to be is a crook. Self-fulfilling prophecy I guess. I wonder if he voted in both states?
Why are you guys hating on the 6.5 Creedmoor, why it can kill things from a long ways away. I found some video of the testing of the cheapest 6.5 Creedmoor that shows how deadly it can be, why video even shows it being used from the air to hunt wild pigs. They are comparing it to the 6.5 RPM I...
Funny thread, but in all seriousness if you head to 37°14'17.9"N 115°48'03.8"W, with a good rifle, there will be shooting. Just blow through any gates you find, it is public funded property after all.
Interesting and as always entertaining HT discussion. I imagine a mono would be the best bet (Hammer, Barnes, Nosler E-Tip, GMX, Federal Trophy Copper, etc.) After that something like Partitions or Accubonds. Monos' need speed so most recommend going a step down in weight from a recommended...
