6.5 with a bullet like the eld-x is not ethical on elk eldm even less so. The 7 mag with a tough bullet is a much better choice. Also, ammo is available if you keep your heads up online so what’s available locally shouldn’t be a concern.
Removing scopes would make a huge difference. Why would limiting custom muzzleloaders with nightforce scopes have anything to do with compound bows? I don’t see the connection you’re trying to make.
I wouldn’t pay a guide for a pronghorn hunt. If you can walk around a bit you will be fine physically. 2 points looks to be a big step up from 1 point in the unit you could draw but that could change by 2024.
The reason most blonde bears are young is that they get killed before they get a chance to get any age. Most guys see a blond bear and size isn’t on their mind as they pull the trigger.
Lots of great ideas here. I would love to see these changes implemented. Montana is a great state to hunt but their draw process is by far the worst in the west.
Is it just me or are Montana resident hunters the most passive, least influential group of resident hunters when it comes to their state managing wildlife and draws? It’s one thing to screw nonresidents but to watch yourself get screwed over and over seems almost masochistic.
