I am going to be headed to Jackson in a couple of weeks on a cow bison hunt. Anybody ever use Hog Island meats to process their stuff? Any other recommendations? Thanks!
I just saw this great deal on a Sitka Dewpoint jacket if anyone is looking. I already have one, it's a great jacket. I'm sure Randy would attest to it's quality.

At first I thought I called the wrong number based on the drawn out silence after I asked about the number of tags. I'm guessing the silence was for a completely different reason.
Thanks for the responses guys. I usually shoot 160 grain nosler partitions. I've killed many deer, black bear and a moose with it. I don't hand load so there aren't many 175 grain options.
I will be going on a bison hunt in Wyoming this year. The only rifle I currently own is a 7mm rem mag. Shot placement arguments aside, you guys think this is enough gun for a bison?
Yesterday I bought a leftover tag for unit 2. Game and fish told me they no longer keep landowner lists. Anyone have any tips on finding landowners to call for trespass fee access?
Not too hard to find steep country there : ) its pretty rough terrain so my advice is get in the best shape possible then not worry about a big bull. Any elk would be a trophy for that unit. They put caps on licenses in later seasons for a reason. As soon as shooting starts the elk flee to private.
