We love ours. As others have mentioned, great for wild game cuts and other staples around our house like rice, beans, soups, carnitas and barbacoa, etc. A relative recently made some great chicken pho in theirs too which I want to try.- JoMo

Splitting elk meat
Sounds like everyone has their own way and it mostly works. Set clear expectations from the get go. We always split meat 50:50 for folks who hunt the whole time together and help each other pack it out. If someone comes/goes for a day or just the pack out, they get some but not an even split... -

All good advice above! Good pack, good boots, load cinched down tightly, trekking poles all make for more comfortable.
