    Pack Rats

The gain/bounce sheets might work! It worked in the fifth wheel compartments and in the cab of my old truck to keep mice out. I also heard of good results from peppermint oil on cotton swabs but haven't tried it

    Pack Rats

Leaving the hood open works but is not always practical. I use a weasel/Martin box baited with an apple and peanut butter with a 110 conibear under or near the vehicle. I also use poison but sometimes it isn't an option They can be so destructive, especially on old vehicles that sit a lot and...

    How to skin a bear

Here's a couple more I was lucky enough to get to the shop whole. Not very often, but it sure is nice :)! I have had one black bear and one grizzly that the cable ripped through the pelvis, so just watch for that if you don't use a little bigger diameter rope or mule tape. The little stuff tends...

    How to skin a bear

Start your cuts and run some mule tape or cable through the pelvis and out the rear and make a hanging loop. It works pretty well if you are actually where you can hang them.

    ****OFFICIAL****2024 SPRING BEAR THREAD

Had another great spring hunt in AK. I'm pretty blessed to have a high school buddy and his wife that treat me like family and a brother-in-law (AK resident) that is always willing to jump in and go along on about any hunt I come up with.

Turns out it was a pretty lucky choice. I just started glassing when this nice boar came trotting up out of...

    2024 Turkey Season!

Got back from a broken horn oryx hunt in NM in time to get out for a morning of hunting before going back to work. It was a really nice morning with no wind and just a bit of rain here and there. Two nice toms came in after a a couple hours of cat and mouse with the group. I decided this bird...

    2024 Turkey Season!

Managed to get a nice little bird between regular work and moving bees for pollination. I blew it a couple times this season early, by always being in a hurry to get back to work. Slowed down a bit and enjoyed it and things worked out much better :)
