I don't typically carry a bipod in the field. I've always just used a backpack or a tripod to shoot from. The exception is antelope hunting, and for that I like the Stoney Point. For practice I shoot from an Atlas and that was the main reason for the picatinny rail on the forend. It does...
Thanks guys!
The rail is a 2" SRS rail from Seekins Precision. I went back and forth a lot as to whether I wanted a rail or just a swivel stud. I'm still undecided as to whether it was the right choice or not. Mostly depends on which type of bipod you'd prefer to attach.

This gun was just about two years in the making. I've preferred to have one accurate rifle that will run the gambit on big game rather than having several rifles of different calibers. That has allowed me to sell and upgrade what I use over the years. I mulled over calibers for quite some time...
For me, I typically get one out of state hunt in each year and I generally know which state and area i'd be targeting. All other states I'm just gathering bonus points each year. It sounds like they have really useful Intel, but if I could purchase a la carte Id be much more inclined to drop...
They added some aluminum cross stays for rigidity on the frame; made the lid removable in the 3500 size, changed the straps they use and a few other minor changes. Biggest one was toughening up the frame a tad.
I really liked this pack last year. Lightweight and comfortable, with sufficient pockets to make gear access on day hunts a non-issue. They've made a few changes to it for this year but bumped up the price from $450 to $500. It's in great shape, no stains or tears that I see.

Exo is only in Idaho. I don't think they use dealers at all. I picked up the 3500 and love it. The difference for me between Stone Glacier and Exo is the pockets. 90% of the time I'm day hunting and the pockets make it much more user friendly.
