WaPo: Popular handgun fires without anyone pulling the trigger, victims say

Can't believe this is in the news again. There were recalls, tests, etc, etc. It's a thing. My impression is that it it is so rare, that it's not much of a concern, but I haven't been following for a few years now.

I can't believe how useful this product is

2.2 ounces...wayyyy too heavy for my ulralight setup ;) That's pretty impressive, actually. Might consider it.

    Grapes

Since none of the fear mongers shared any info, I looked it up and according to: https://pets.webmd.com/dogs/why-dogs-cant-eat-grapes "...an amount as low as 0.3 ounces of grapes per pound of body weight could also cause various symptoms of food toxicity." So, for a 50 lb dog, it would need to...

    Grapes

I have never heard of this before. Is it like the chocolate myth? Basically, only toxic if they eat like 10 lbs of it.

    Kansas bans trail cams

I hope so. I would like to see them banned in CO (on public land).

CPW Commission: End Crow, rail, and sora hunting

The discussion starts here: https://www.youtube.com/live/RftxOX9iUmk?feature=share&t=2030 Not sure when CBA rep speaks.

    Howl for wildlife

It's a start. Real advocacy still requires in-person contact with the legislators. Things move fast and by the time there is a public release of information (amendments to a bill, for example), the issue can be drastically different from the previous public release. At least, that's been my...

CPW Commission: End Crow, rail, and sora hunting

I guess we I guess we should all just give up then. Take up golf. Why don't you take your pessimism and sod off.

CPW Commission: End Crow, rail, and sora hunting

I got the impression he was a little perturbed from the rail/crows/prairie dog discussion. Can't say I blame him. The commissioners (even May, who seems to have a genuine concern) did not seem to have read the staff's letter - black rail don't flush so will not be mistakenly killed, CO is not...

CPW Commission: End Crow, rail, and sora hunting

The new Keep Colorado Wild (KCW) state parks pass puts $2.5M (assuming a certain number are sold) towards CSAR: https://cpw.state.co.us/aboutus/pages/keep-colorado-wild-pass.aspx There was another bill that passed (and signed?) last year that sends another $1M to CSAR...

CPW Commission: End Crow, rail, and sora hunting

Seems like there was a lot of confusion and so May's indignation at the public comment "surprised the Commission has time for this" was misplaced. They really don't have time for it and didn't do their homework (because they are swamped with wolf meetings and allocations and...). It was a...

Poll: What do you think about the Space Force?

I think it is very human to have mental/emotional problems killing people who will never be able to fight back. We just have to make it like Enders Game - make our remote controllers think they are playing a game.

Poll: What do you think about the Space Force?

Considering that a large percentage of not-too-distant future conflicts will be fought remotely with drones, robots, etc., worrying about what small arms space force operators will have in basic training is a little myopic. We will still need a few grunts, but we will need a heck of lot more...

Don’t kill wolves – just keep them away

I'm guessing fencing around cattle in MN/WI is a little different than on the landscapes of the Rocky Mountain West.

    Ticks on Dogs

We use Simparica Trio Chewable Tablets for Dogs (once a month) prescription. If we find ticks on her shortly after she is running in grass, they are still alive. A few hours after she has been running in the grass, the ticks are dead.

    Colorado corner crossing legislation proposal

I agree. I'm sure Rep Bradley would appreciate support from any/all recreation groups.

Hunting groups quit CPW’s Colorado Outdoor Partnership, citing lack of focus on wildlife

CO BHA would be happy to sponsor anyone that is willing to be on any of the 14 regional CO-OPs or the statewide CO-OP. PM me if you are interested.

Hunting groups quit CPW’s Colorado Outdoor Partnership, citing lack of focus on wildlife

How many times would you spend hours of your free time to prepare arguments for a discussion that you know are going to be ignored? Then go to a meeting where you are going to be ignored. And then have everyone who was not at the meeting ask how you could let this happen? If the collaborative...
