    Trail Camera With Programmable On-Time

Yep, but they don't record that whole time. _ So, I ordered a Reolink wifi camera ($100). It has to be connected to wifi to record continuously, so I might have to move the router to that corner of the house or something. With 1 camera on the Reolink server (NVR) ($200) it can record 48 hours...

    Trail Camera With Programmable On-Time

Yea, but I like sleeping. It's not always exactly 3:30...they aren't always home...I'm going to have to do it more than once (per local laws), etc, etc.

    Trail Camera With Programmable On-Time

From what I can find online the Blink and Tactacam (and other trail cams) have a schedule capability, but it just sets the times when the motion sensor is active - it does not set the time for continuous recording. I think I am stuck running a CCTV type camera (Reolink) and temporarily mount it...

    Trail Camera With Programmable On-Time

I have a neighbor that lets their dog out at 3:30am and of course it barks non-stop. By the time I wake up and realize what is going on and get mad enough to get dressed, go outside, and record it, they let it back in. Local law enforcement won't do anything without video/audio evidence. I...

How to get hunters into volunteering for conservation efforts

There is a part of me that thinks it might attract the wrong types of people - just putting in their hours - instead of what you get right now, which is the die-hard volunteer doing the work for only the right reasons.

    Corner crossing tampering

If I were a WY resident, I might contact some of my elected officials and get their denial on record, so when the names do come out (and they will eventually come out) one could put the official's shenanigans on public display.

    Chainsaw On Wheels

Yea, the masticator would be great. My friend has some heavy equipment, but I'm not sure how much he would be willing to invest for this project. Maybe he can rent one??

    Chainsaw On Wheels

I have a friend that is working with the county/state/feds to improve the wildlife habitat on his property. Most of what they want him to do is thin the pine trees on about 8 acres of his property. The instructions they gave him (to qualify for grants) was to remove all dead trees and all...

    Wyoming Corner Crossing Defense Fund

Someone pointed out in the comments the apparent contradiction by Fred's lawyer - he said the land owner owns the air above the land to the edge of the universe and then said that the public land can be accessed by helicopter or plane. I couldn't see them in the picture, but I assume the...

    Wyoming Corner Crossing Defense Fund

I'm really curious if it's the lawyers grasping at straws or if Eschelman himself is pushing these absurd arguments and the lawyers are like, "Whatever you say, boss."

    ESA as a political weapon

Equal Access to Justice Act (EAJA) is as much (probably more) of a problem than the ESA. It is likewise a good idea, but the abuses have turned it into more of a burden than benefit.

PEAX giving away free spoon, you just pay for shipping

I paid $5.95 Theses spoons are well-suited for the dehydrated meals, like Mountain House, so you can reach the food in the bottom of the bag without shoving your hand in there and making a mess.

    Dog attack

Don't let this slide. At a minimum report to the Sheriff/Police and let them know you did so and that the next call will be to their homeowners insurance company. I know if it were me and the dog killed some kid, I wouldn't be able to live with myself knowing that I could have (helped) prevent it.

WaPo: Popular handgun fires without anyone pulling the trigger, victims say

If the it's in a holster and it fires while you are wearing it or drawing, there are some large arteries in your legs that are not far away from the muzzle.

Large land purchase from BLM gives Hunters and Outdoor Enthusiasts more room to roam

The document seems pretty clear that the two WY counties involved will have reduced income due to this acquisition, contrary to what Randy and others have stated. This is because those two counties are already maxed out PILT payments. "Because of population constraints factored into annual...

NRA American Hunter Letter To the Editor - Re: CWD

I sent the following to the American Hunter Editor(s). To my chagrin, as I read the rest of the issue, I found an article by Jim Heffelfinger, a respected scholar on the topic, however, Jim did not address cooking or incineration in that article. I also found out that Jim had another CWD...

    Maximum hearing protection and tinninitis

Interesting. I googled hyperacusis. 80+% of people who report hyperacusis also have tinnitus, so it seems like it's all related to hearing loss/damage, just different symptoms for some people. I have had hearing tests and have completely lost the higher frequencies (can't even hear my dog...
