I need to build a proper sled, mine works fine if I take the time to monkey with making sure everything is level on the front end. I have two heavy 1/4" aluminum Z-bars from the back of a highway sign that I use for the side rails, they work great but my sled needs an upgrade, if I do this more...
If you're on the fence I'd say go for it, I bought a pair of these an absolutely love them. I actually sold my spotter and kept these, I can look through them all day with no eye fatigue as opposed to only using one eye at a time with the spotting scope.
When people force you to hunt in CO and pay those NR fees do you put up a fight? Or do you just come out and hunt OTC every year with your arm twisted behind your back? :ROFLMAO:
Not selfish, I think it shows more empathy and deeper understanding of the natural world than most people have.
An anecdote from yesterday...I was driving my kid across town to a friend's house in Parker on a new, very busy 2-lane road at ~50mph. While rounding a corner, a Lexus two cars ahead...
Yeah, but I'd rather see a field full of prairie dogs than hundreds of acres of new subdivision homes like we have around here. Seems people like to save critters in Colorado only until the wildlife gets in the way of their shiny new house.
We had ground squirrels where I grew up, not prairie dogs, but they still dug the big burrows in colonies. I knew several ranchers who'd had horses break legs, my buddy's dad raised and trained very expensive cutting horses and had several step in those holes with varying degrees of injury. He...
My warmest hunting boots are Kennetrek 400g, my feet sweat in them while hiking at any temp over 20* or so but they'll get cold if I sit for more than a couple hours in those temps. There is always a tradeoff.
In my experience people tend to panic when they're in drift boats, they see a glut of places to cast that are moving by quickly as opposed to slowly walking up the stream bank and casting to each spot in turn. So, they rush and try to aim their casts at every good-looking spot that comes along...
Why was he carrying spray in CO? I carry my pistol here when I'm not hunting with a rifle, but that's more for the meth heads in the parking lot, not the bears...
Geez guy, literally ONE dude tells you he likes factory loads and you go nuclear in four posts...it's like telling my 6-year-old why she can't have a snow cone after she just had a cupcake. Don't worry, even if you hate it, social media LOVES people like you :ROFLMAO:
