This is what I immediately thought of when I saw this one. I also think about it often when I’m getting back to the truck - in between the moment when I reach for my keys and the moment when I actually touch them.
I had a key come out of a normal pants pocket while racing my daughter on a hike...
I’ve had a half dozen or so Benchmade’s over the years, still have three. The pictured 940 is my favorite, bought it off eBay in college 20 years ago for $55 or $60 when I had way more time to scout for deals than money. It’s 154CM, and I’ve had S30-V blades from them also. I can sharpen them...
2002ish era Rem 700 30-06, stainless/synthetic.
Got myself pretty punchy with it shooting groundhogs on the farm from odd field positions. Got scoped & cut a lot, with a cheap, sharp scope with short eye relief. In the short term that led to a lot of rimfire shooting to get over the flinch...
I used to be able to quote the paragraph on the back as in pre-smartphone days I’d get bored enough in my tent I’d read it regularly.
Spaghetti is a slight preference over lasagna because of how the lasagna’s cheese adheres to 80% of silverware.
I also like rice and chicken, in the old...
Too steep isn’t much fun, I feel like I’ve hit that limit quite shallow (~15 degrees and icy) and quite steep (~80+ degrees - clearly climbing, hopefully roped in). Your equipment and the surface you’re on make all the difference.
I did some ~40 degree today on cedar shake, wasn’t my...
I bought my initial reloading setup 21 years ago, had to get some of everything as I was starting from scratch, I didn’t even know anyone who hand loaded at the time. There were definitely a couple weights of 30 cal Core Lokt’s in the cart. Haven’t bought very many since then though…
It's been tested a lot vs higher end lab scales. Some units are pretty decent and stay really close to the displayed weight (see Wind Gypsy's experience above, not a total outlier), some have varied more like .3 gr. If not comparing to a higher end scale, a check weight can be used to track...
100 yd zeros shouldn't change, and even at 300 you're talking about 1 scope click of difference between sea level and 10,000 ft. Most people would be well served to check zero after travel as most people don't have bomb proof optic/mount/rifle setups.
Leofoto makes decent RRS knockoffs. I've used a bunch.

My cousin brought this on to Wyoming last year. The head got a little sticky because it got dirty, but started working fine again once cleaned (my RRS leveling head does the same). I...
I keep selling places out from under my wife, and she keeps getting less attached to them. Her input on the most recent one was "I'd like a black front door". It'll have one, but it won't be her's. Really, truly plan to move into the next one.
Very nice, congratulations on the CO and on moving in tomorrow.
I'm feeling the burn(out) on my current one myself. Home inspection is scheduled for Wednesday, closing in two weeks.
I go for Redding Type S FL sizing dies most of the time. I have a Harrell's FL bushing die for 6 Dasher, those are nice because you can get them with different base dimensions, normally not an option. They're only available in a few chamberings that are popular with competition shooters...
I haven't seen that, have had my head down with work recently. I'll have to check into it, but the Labradar has had a pretty good accuracy rep.
If I wanted to skip the tumbling step in large volume loading I'd dunk the brass in acetone. I spend ~ $20 on media per 10,000 rounds, I'm good with...
