Lever Monday...post em up
Gosh what a cool collection. That would be a bucket list range day to have those and 200 yards of steel to play with for a few hours. My quiver pales in comparison, but I got re-bitten by the lever bug recently. Stationed near the panhandle of Florida now and got a few whitetail hunts in this... -

First western trip was a success
Gotta remember that a thread like this is effectively talking about a different era of hunting. Even the units that give out a TON (read: over 500) of tags require at least a point or two to draw now, unless you want to pay $1200 for that special draw life. -

Has anyone hunted elk from a kayak
In that case, the furthest I was from my truck was less than 500 yards and that creek never gets much wider than that, so getting back not a big deal even with a capsizing event. SST is in the high 40s right now though, and if the first time you experience that is in a truly remote environment... -

Works in the southeast. Biggest thing to consider is your load plan... even with a ~110 pound whitetail, this specific boat was probably at its max limit, and I'm not a real big dude. If you had a low light exfil and hit some current or an obstruction, that could be all she wrote. But yeah... -

Yep! Banner towing is one way to get hours, being a CFI (Certified Flight Instructor) is another one and the way I went. I'm at the point now where I can fly for charter companies or privately, but just wanted to see if anyone has a guiding business or lodge that needs a float plane or tailwheel...- oxn939

Pure hell
Man, that is a wild story. Congrats on an absolute slammer of a bull. Know I wasn't there or anything... but with a decent breeze channelized by that topography, there are a bunch of spots to get an M-7 with 250 pounds of meat out of there. There are some late season muzzleloader hunts worth doing in VA, but you'd really have to pick your opportunities. One thing to eliminate is basically anywhere "east of the Blue Ridge" as shown on the DWR map- guys will have been running dogs there for several months by the time late...- oxn939

Is it irresponsible to NOT buy it?
Dude that thing is beautiful, congrats. My trapper '94 in .357 is one of my favorite rifles, solidly in the "never for sale" category. I also got it for like 600 bucks a few years ago, and now they seem to be going for 2.5-3x that on gunbroker... so per your question, it has been many times... -

WTT T/C Encore Pro Hunter .50 Caliber Muzzleloader

Opening day ML in Va

Tikka T3X- Tight Chamber
Update on this, got it back yesterday with a note saying "we shot one variety of factory ammo here and it was fine." I'll see if that exposure to pressure may have cleaned the chamber out or something, but there was no mention in their not about actually checking the headspace... -
