36 posts in and now we're talking about access, the only thing that benefits the DIY guy.
This is the only way this would make any sense. Want landowner tags? Open up your land for unrestricted walk-in access.
Tax revenue? How much would we actually talk about? Would it really be worth it? I'd be curious to see how much tax VS landowner revenues we'd be talking about, for what is essentially a landowner handout. How many tags would need to be handed out for this to be worth it in terms of tax...
IMHO. I struggle to see how all Wyoming citizens and the DIY guy win. Landowners get handouts and sell the tags at ridiculous price that prevent the real DIY guys from hunting them.
Rich hunters get to hunt Wyoming every year with the same landowner ad vitam aeternam.
While I'm just a lowly...
CGN is the same. Lots of tinfoil flying about...
The amount of Canadian "right wingers" who idolize Trump is weird. You'd think Biden slept with their wives or something...
Let's not be too quick to judge the sharp shooters/snipers.
I've personally been in situations where I wasn't allowed to shoot at an obvious bad guy based on my rules of engagement and that was in the middle of butt fack nowhere Afghanistan, not the US.
Someone will be thrown under the big...
“No one was consulted in this decision – not the biologists, not the independent conservation groups, not the First Nations. Were the government’s own scientists consulted?"
Hunters:
Here's me shooting all your dinks and raghorns while dudes cry about 20 years worth of points! I don't think I've ever accumulated more than four pronghorn or elk points in Wyoming...
The USMC is a cult and no one can change my mind.
Spent about a month with them on Camp Lejeune. Lots of bar fights and drinking! Overall good dudes when they're on your side.
Most western Provinces and Territories are like that. Out east is a bit different but the hunting sucks, yes.
My biggest issue with our system in Saskatchewan is the outfitter welfare. They get all the moose and deer tags for non-residents/Canadian non-residents.
As much as I love hunting elk around the west, Saskatchewan doesn't let non-residents hunt elk, pronghorns or mule deer, which I am 100% Okay with...
I'll enjoy elk hunting Wyoming, Montana, etc, as long as they let me, when/if they don't, I won't complain one bit.
My plan is to have my ashes reloaded in ammo and have people pew pew me into oblivion!
Hopefully my ashes would foul their barrel and action so they could think of me as they clean microscopic burnt bits of my beans and weenie, off their firearms!
I was training with the USMC about a decade ago, this jacked dude was getting kicked out of the Marines because of his high BMI. Buddy was a beast but couldn't drop his BMI so he got the boot... Pretty ridiculous, give that guy heavy things and he'd probably carry them further than everyone else...
I pretty much question everything I see or read. I like to form my own opinion on things and will change it if I realize I am wrong or biased for no good reason.
I follow several different news source, BBC, Al Jazeera and local/national news. All that together paints a decent picture of the...
Didn't come from a family of hunters. I used to watch those Walmart Jim Shockey DVDs and dream about hunting.
Around the same time, my oldest sister started dating a hunter. He was kind of a greasy skid, but he took me hunting a few times. I dragged my dad and a couple siblings to do hunter...
Both. It won't stop raining, which would be fine if we had average temps, but it's been colder than usual. We're finally getting normal temps this week.
On the other hand, I've never seen the landscape this green. Driving down grid roads with 2-3 feet of grass on each side feels like driving...
