I didn't know it was legal to hunt them. What's the daily bag limit on kids? Do I have to use steel shot? Are they considered migratory? I wanted to shoot a couple of foul ones screaming at McDonald's tonight. Argh!
And you guys wonder why I choose to crap on a paper plate and throw it in the fire. Pinching a loaf in this moose camp outhouse would be a dangerous proposition. At least it's well ventilated.
Ellie chews up seat belts. Four times I have replaced them. Smart enough to only do it when I'm not in the Jimmy so shock collar wouldn't help. She doesn't like being left in the vehicle during hunting season. Guess I can't blame her. Sigh!
Still going strong. Ellie is nine and Fr Britt "Puppy" is thirteen. They had a grand time duck hunting last week. Puppy finished the day with a roll in the hay (alfalfa).
Yep. The spotlight is for checking range heifers during calving. Been there done that. My dad's first truck was a similar '49 Ford surplused by USBR when the dam where he worked was completed. It was a small flatbed stake truck with a bracket built on front bumper to support long pipe loaded...
Glad to see you are back. I'm not around as much as formerly but eventually noticed you were gone. I feared the worst, asked what was up, received no response, so left it at that.
Hang in there.
No one ever bothered me when I was camped in my wall tent. Paper plate filled with turds and toilet paper set outside the door was a great deterent for potential ner-do-wells. They figure I'm crazier than they are and leave me alone.
I suspect the victim was not camping alone. His "hunting...
Snow is usually available in hunting season. Where I hunt anyway.
It would be an honor to be on your ignore list. I don't use the ignore option. Very immature in my opinion.
I hardly sweat and keep my weight down. Electrolyte restoration is seldom an issue for me unless extreme heat. Carrying the weight of water simply makes no sense when there's snow on the ground. I don't need much to rehydrate. Snow does the job just fine. However, not a good idea unless...
A handful of snow will clean your butt nicely and leave you VERY invigorated. Much better than a cup of coffee to get me going in the morning. You guys need to be able to think outside the box ... or the outhouse.
I hope you go back. Lots of better and prettier places to hunt in the East Cape.
One afternoon on the last day of my safari last year we encountered 27 kudu hunting these hills and not one was seen twice.
And two years ago I shot my second gemsbuck in this country. Remind you of Eastern...
Sounds Ike the blesbuck and springbuck were getting too much pressure. Should not have been that difficult. One can easily tell which properties let outfitters shoot from the trucks. Makes hunting very difficult. My outfitter won't allow it and tends to avoid properties where it is allowed...
"Explosive" bullets can be placed well but difficult to predict how/where exit performance. Place it behind front shoulder and it comes out opposite shoulder leaving a hole the size of a cantaloupe.
I don't eat glue. But probably need to be more careful about the mushrooms I put on my Wheaties. "Breakfast of ... uh ... what planet is this?"
No electronic technocrap for this old timer. I spent all day Friday installing a replacement electric window actuator in my Jimmy. Argh! So close...
I have always maintained anyone without a university degree and Sunday school diploma lacks illumination. Uncultured uninformed savages. And usually registered Republicans. :D
