Scouting for Mule Deer
Mule deer.in sd will be in a lot of terrain types. Just pure grasslands with washes and broken terrain, creek/river bottoms, and the forest. -

CO access through a neighboring unit
It's not illegal, but as glass eye mentioned a pic or GPS would be to your benefit. Worst case scenario you might have to take a warden to the site of the kill. You can take your gun/bow for a walk most anywhere, no law against that. -

I think there are few bad areas to bunt deer in r7. Find the type of terrain you dream of hunting and go hunt. My opinion is the vast majority of mature bucks are in th 150-155 class, above that and you may put in some serious time to find. There are millions of acres of public land of which... -

Guided bow hunt suggestions?
Lots of options in mt to go guided for archery, several units cater to the archery hunter and produce some good bulls. A lot depends on the experiece one wants ie stand hunting or calling. -
