    Retirement: When would you like to retire? Do you have a plan to get there?

    I'm 53 and no plans to retire. For the last 13 years I have 'slowed down' and worked 3 - 4 days a week in a normal office job, with 6-8 weeks holiday per year. So will keep working as long as I can but continue to make time to hunt or fish weekly and also do big regular longer trips.

    Hunt Talker 2023 Fitness Goals

    I ran a 5km race today at Long Beach, California. Really enjoyed the race and meeting the other runners. Been a while since I’ve raced 5kms and actually forgot what a great distance it is to run. Next up it’s a 10km race on Saturday in Cerritos.

    Interesting question. I’m no expect but believe you’ll either need to hire a professional outfitter or have a resident take you as a ‘guide’. There’s no cost for the resident option but believe they need to sign up at WY Fish and Game.

    Well my planned trip just got way better. I drew a WY antelope tag! In my view, my son and I now have the dream combo of WY elk and antelope tags. Cant wait to spend two weeks in western WY this fall with these tags.

    Thanks for all the advice. I probably wont make it to Yellowstone, or any national parks, as I normally hunt every day on my western hunt trips. I'm happy hunting 12 days straight.
