Yes, hunted near Jackson twice and also near Cody. Will take all the normal precautions e.g. bear spray, clean camp and keeping my eyes peeled. -

A big thank you to the State of Wyoming! I put my 16yo son in for a general elk tag and he drew with 4 points. The youth prices must make this tag one of the best priced tags in the west. This will be my 7th western hunt and the first with my son. I have now booked flights and a TURO truck... -

Just general deer points for my son and I. Put my son in for very long odds elk and deer limited hunts, not expecting to draw and kinda relieved as my son has an WY elk tag so didn’t want to miss that hunt!- Kiwi

23 swing for fences tag
My son didn’t end up drawing the AZ as expected. But changed the WY application and did draw a Gen elk with 4 points, not sure that is a swing for the fences tag but it sure feels good to draw!- Kiwi

Wyoming point creep. How bad will it be for the NR elk draw this year?
I’d say your prediction for this years draw (earlier in this thread) was correct. Keen to hear what the numbers tell you for next years LQ draw. I’m thinking of applying in the special for a LQ elk tag. -

From my reading of this years NR Gen elk tag draw odds there was a .5 point creep from last year. It look 4 points last year to guarantee a tag in the random part of the draw and this year it was 4.5 points. Wyoming NR Elk Results Posted
Was not expecting to draw, but my son did draw a Gen tag with 4 points in the standard draw! Very happy to get the tag for him, and what a bargain too!
