You will never see in your lifetime another combination of coach-QB that will even come close to what these two have accomplished. They have done all this with so many combinations of players that it is almost unbelievable. Sit back and enjoy the ride you are watching history being made in...
Spent yesterday right in West Yellowstone cross country skiing. Current conditions are not very encouraging - there's very little snow compared to good snow years. Worse thing is the temperatures, low 30's during the day is not going to get the buffalo to move.
I've had a straight 10X on a .243 for many years. Scope is very repeatable, reliable and clear. The only negatives on this scope is the turret is a little " mushy" compared to my more expensive scopes, and they come with no zero stop. I have since added an after market zero stop and solved...
It's very obvious that you know what you are doing. I'm not knocking Berger at all. I have used them (and still do ) since before Berger's name was even mentioned as a hunting bullet. Hopefully Berger has determined what was causing the problem and corrected it. For those of you that think it...
You shoot them long enough and you'll find out what happens when a Berger doesn't open up. Been there - done that - got the pictures to prove it.
Good Luck.
I do not own one of the complete systems but am quite familiar with them - system works well and if you have any particular questions/concerns I'd be more than happy to give you my 2 cent opinion.
I do have one of the original model 2000 range finders and have used it extensively.
Take your sizing die apart and inspect and clean it. You'd be surprised how many people do not clean their dies and have a bunch of dried up gunk from previous reloadings.
As far as using Onestuck spray - there are better alternatives.
Most factory barrels shoot best after they have been fouled - If barrel is broke in I wouldn't clean it until your groups open up.
There is no telling how many rounds it takes to foul a barrel before it settles down and shoots to its potential. I would say average is 2-5 rounds.
Not a good idea to mix any 2 different types of cleaners. If you want to use 2 different types of cleaners run some patches soaked in rubbing alcohol to neutralize between the two different cleaners.
Do you have any of the original loaded HSM ammo left that shot well? If you have any of the original ammo left give me a call. Have seen this happen a number of times with HSM ammo in other calibers. When you coming down to visit your folks again?
