I understand what you’re saying. My point applies to the NR and R. It’s my belief that the overwhelming majority are not going to pick Whitetail. I’m all for giving it a try though. I just don’t have much confidence in that portion of the plan. Let’s do it. It can’t hurt -

I highly doubt that is going to have much of an impact. The vast majority are going to 6 & 7 for muleys. I can’t see many people especially unguided NR picking Whitetail over Muleys. Just my thoughts. But I was wrong once before -

Really? How is it any different than now? We apply for general tag that allows us to hunt general units and not LE units. Couldn’t they just make an entire region a LE for NR? Or break up the region into more units? Seems like it is feasible without them having to completely reinvent the system. -

This is interesting considering that FWP said during the CAC meetings May 6-8 that NR accounted for 33% of the harvest in R6 and 45% in R7. These were the numbers they read during the meeting. It’s hard for me to trust any numbers that they spew out, they never seem to be consistent nor do... -

That’s the number that the dart landed on. Just kidding. I’m sure it was determined by all of the data they collected from decades of research. FWP is famous for basing management decisions off solid data. Or, Most likely, the MOGA told them that was the number to use.- Elktrack
